This may sound strange at first, 6 month old German shepherd was born with a cleft palate. It ran the total length of her palate. She was bread specifically to be a police K9 officer. Due to the cleft she couldn't live out the role. She had it surgically repaired and just completed Canine Good Citizen class. She is becoming a therapy dog with the goal of visiting children with cleft problems.
