October Annual FunDay!
October Reflection
Hey y'all, it's Mia!
This month we celebrated our annual MiaMooFunDay! This year might have just been the best one yet! We had the best time being together and ending the night with line dancing! To every family who made the trip, we thank you and we loved being with you this year, and we cannot wait until next year!
This month has basically consisted of exams and homework, but my brother got married to the love of his life this month, which was awesome! His wedding was perfect and precious and we are all wishing Emilyn and Cole the best!
As this month ends today, I want to wish you all a happy Halloween and a happy month of MiaMooFunDay!
You rock! I hope this month was amazing for you all!

OCTOBER RECIPIENT
Tristan was born on October 29th, 10 years ago. I found out during a anatomy scan that Tristan was going to be born with cleft lip and palate. I had no idea what to expect. I was overwhelmed with love from the moment they put him on my chest at the hospital. I will never ever forget his beautiful butterfly smile. Tristan has trouble with speech, hearing loss, and was also diagnosed with autism. Tristan has never let anything stop him. He’s in honors classes in school, and he wants to be a video game developer when he grows up. ~ Tristan’s Mom

Peter, now age 15, has been a boy with the deepest spirit. Born with a unilateral cleft lip and a bilateral cleft palate, he has persevered through many obstacles to find his own voice. Peter has never let his multiple surgeries or his many recoveries deter him from growing and learning and loving. Today, as he prepares for the next wave of cleft repair, he fills his days playing cello, ballroom dancing, and solving puzzles. His currently plans on taking the care his doctors have shown him and passing it on as a veterinarian with an emphasis on prosthetic for pets.Thank you Mia Moo Fund and donors for caring for our Peter in this most generous way. ~ Peter's Parents

Our baby girl, Emma Lynne, was born with a cleft palate and had her first surgery at only 9 months old. Now just shy of 1 year old, she's full of smiles, giggles, and has the sweetest little personality. We are so thankful to the Mia Moo Fund for blessing our family during this time.

Hey y'all!!
Our theme verse for this month is Isaiah 40:29 which says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” As you walk through your cleft journey, you find that surgeries, appointments, and waiting can feel overwhelming at times. This verse reminds us that God sees every tear, every early morning drive to the hospital, every recovery day, and every moment of courage. When we feel tired or anxious, He promises His strength, not just to get through it, but to grow through it. For every child facing surgery and every parent holding their hand, may this truth bring comfort and confidence. You are not doing this alone. God is with you, giving strength for today and hope for every step ahead!
 Keep pushing through!
