November Reflection

Happy Thanksgiving
November Reflection

Hey guys! It's Mia! This month I had the most fantastic time! I started off this month by going to Washington D.C. to surprise my sister for her birthday!  It was the sweetest weekend and we had some much needed sister time! I ended this month by going home for Thanksgiving break and eating the best food! Thanksgiving break gave me time to rest, see old friends, and spend some quality time with my family. It was just what I needed and I hope it was for all of you guys too! Now let's start the countdown for Christmas!

Xoxo,
Mia

MEET AIDEN - NOVEMBER RECIPIENT!

Aiden from California was born August 2022 with a left unilateral cleft/lip and palate.  He’s our first born. Aiden has been a fighter since he was born. He  was in the NICU for a couple of days due to his breathing and feeding. We decided to do the early lip repair. Being only 5 weeks old and going through surgery so young, he was so strong and resilient. Aiden's journey has just started and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for him! He makes everyone's days brighter and more joyful! We were blessed to find an agency that helps families and children with a similar journey as Aiden! Thank you Mia Moo Fund for blessing us! ~ Aiden's Mom

MEET AVERY - NOVEMBER RECIPIENT!

Avery was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. She has excelled through this journey that has included the NAM appliance, multiple surgeries, and many hours of speech therapy.  Avery is so strong, brave, and independent, and so far - she loves her scar! She will never let her cleft hold her back. We are so grateful for all of the support. ~ Avery's Mom
SPOTTED!

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Lexie is currently in 5th grade and preparing for bone graph late spring or early summer which will be her 12th surgery. She currently loves to draw, write and illustrate her own stories, and sing.  2022 was her first year at the Mia Moo Fun Day where she was shy at first, but she is looking forward to next year.
We will forever be grateful for the Mia Moo Fund and everything they do. They helped with her current orthodontics for a palate expander and braces after insurance denied it as a medical need, which is common with cleft- effected children. Lexie has had two unexpected cleft surgeries since started her orthodontics journey and we will forever be grateful for the help and support of the MMF with relieving the stress and worry of a cleft related medical bill.  ~ Lexie's Mom
