Magical May!

May Reflection
Hey y'all! It's Mia here!!
This month has been so fun! I graduated from college! Yay! I am feeling so relieved, and definitely caught up on some much needed sleep! In the middle of the month I went to the beach for family vacation! It was so peaceful, and I am so grateful for the time we spent together! Immediately after that, I headed to summer camp to be a counselor there for the last time! I will be there for the next few weeks and I am so excited!
I hope you guys had a great end of the school year! Have an amazing summer!
- Mia :)

Easton is an energetic, 13-year-old boy, who was born with unilateral cleft lip and palate. He also has epilepsy and retinal dystrophy. He has been a trooper on his journey beginning with the NAM and now continuing with a lot of orthodontic work. Due to anxiety, it has taken a bit to get this far but Easton is determined to take on this next step. After some braces, we are preparing for a bone graft and jaw surgery. Easton loves to participate in sports - football, basketball, soccer, and his new love, wrestling. He also participates in band and choir and is self-motivated to homeschool. Summer is coming and you will find Easton at the pool every day! Thank you for supporting his journey! We are so grateful that we came across Mia's story in a time of many unknowns for our family. Thank you, Mia, for your courage to share your journey!

The day that Levi was born was the day we learned of his cleft lip, which had not shown up on prenatal ultrasounds. Though we were surprised and unsure of the road ahead, we were instantly in love with his sweet little face just the way it was! When he was 4 months old, he underwent cleft repair surgery. This was his only surgery until now, when he was finally ready for his alveolar bone graft at just 10 years old. Levi is now recovering from the bone graft and enjoying the last few weeks of school before summer break. One day, Levi wants to be a Mission Control Specialist's for NASA! Until then, he keeps himself busy with Legos, playing with friends, and learning all he can about space!
