SUMMER TIME!
May Reflection

Hey guys! Mia here! This month I have been catching up on much needed family time! I started out the month with finals, and ended the month with our annual Robertson family beach trip! I am super grateful for the time we had and it is always my favorite trip of the year! I am now starting my summer job of being a camp counselor out at Camp Ch-Yo-Ca and I am super excited for the campers to get here!

I hope you all had an amazong month and I hope this summer is full of family time, new memories, and FUN!

Love ya!

SPOTTED!
Mia with her aunties, cousins, and her mom at a mother daughter brunch!  Such a fun time to finally all catch up and spend quality girl time together! We could all use more time like this!

POSITIVITY CORNER!
Hi friends! My name is Rylee Johnson and I have been a volunteer for the MiaMooFunDay for the past few years! One thing I do is take photos throughout the weekend, and it has been one of the sweetest things to capture the jouyous moments of families, cleft cuties, and new or old friendships! I love seeing all of the unique and beautiful smiles from everyone and the true joy and laughter I get to capture is simply a blessing. I am already counting the days until I can come back for this wonderful weekend! Thank you for letting me being a part of it!

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Luke was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. He has had 5 surgeries total so far, and now is doing amazing and is thriving even in this time of his life! I am amazed at how far he has come. What the surgeons do for our babies is truly a miracle. I was told that he would need extensive speech therapy, and countless other problems by the time he reaches kindergarten. Luke will be starting Kindergarten in the fall and speaks better than most children in his class who are not cleft effected with no speech therapy at all, passing all speech evaluations with flying colors. He has so many friends, is smart, funny, loves fishing, baseball, and the outdoors. Luke is such a bright light in the lives of everyone he meets! I know that we are not out of the woods yet but the support of the Mia Moo Foundation is invaluable to our lives. The amount of love, education, financial support and truly being like a family praying for us during the good and bad times of this journey is life changing for us. I know as Luke grows they will help him make it through as well. Knowing you are not alone no matter what we face in this life makes such a difference and that's what the family of Mia Moo gives to us, a community. Luke still has challenges to face, but we are enjoying this time of growth, development, and no surgeries with our happy boy! Thank you Mia Moo for EVERYTHING! ~ Wayne and Anna Rachal ❤️
