February lovin'
February Reflection

Hey y'all! It's Mia! This month I spent a lot of time at home! I had the flu for almost two weeks, and that seriously made me miss my mom! Sooooo, I got on the next flight home and caught up on some much needed family time! I ate so much crawfish and loved every bite of it! Being in Louisiana also let me miss out on the snow in Nashville, which was the best timing! I am so ready for summer and not being cold, what about you guys?
This month reminded me to just take a step back and remember to be grateful for the little things. Even for something as simple as breathing, which if you also had the flu, then you totally understand! I am very thankful for this month and all it has taught me! Thank you Lord for winter ending soon!
   Xoxo,
 Mia

"Gavin is our child who seems to know no limits. We are constantly in awe of the amazing boy he is. Not only was Gavin born with a cleft lip and palate, but also a congenital heart defect that required surgery at just 11 days old. With each surgery, we seem to be prepared for the worst, and Gavin seems to sail through recovery like it’s no big deal (mostly). Gavin has developed a passion for aviation and aspires to be a pilot. We are beyond grateful to the Mia Moo foundation for their support through the trials of this cleft journey, thus allowing us to better focus on doing all we can to help Gavin achieve his dreams. We are beyond grateful for your compassion for children and families navigating life with a cleft lip and or palate." Gavin's Mom

"Hi, my name is Natalie and I'm 9 years old about to turn 10. I have a brother named Gage and a sister named Addison. At school I have about 10 friends and my best friend is named Blaze. I'm in 4th grade and I'm the artist in the class! I had my last surgery this past summer. It went really well. Thank you Mia Moo for helping my family and many other families." Natalie
SPOTTED!
Mia and some friends soaking up the sun in between classes! We cannot wait for spring and summer!

Hey y'all!!

This year, our new segment will be "Bible Verse of the Month"! If you have a favorite verse, email it to us! We love you, and you've got this!
This month, I chose Psalm 121:1-2, which says, "I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." This verse acts as a reminder that you are never on an island, even though you may feel like you are. You always have someone in your corner—on your side—fighting for you, even if you do not feel it yet. We pray for you, that during times of recovery after surgeries, you look to the Lord for His peace and His comfort that only He can bring.
You are not alone! :)
Love,
Mia
