Merry Christmas!
December Reflection
Hey guys! Merry Christmas!
This month I finished my finals! Woohoo! I hate finals, but I know that when they are near, I will be home with my family soon! After school was out, I finally got to go home and spend some much-needed time with my family. During Christmas break, we made reindeer food, played piano, baked cookies and homemade biscuits, and simply spent some good old-fashioned quality time together! Christmas Day was spent opening presents, laughing with each other, taking family pictures, and ending the day with a grateful heart.
Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas season as well! Happy New Year!

DECEMBER RECIPIENT
John-Weston was born Dec 2016 in Tupelo, MS with unilateral cleft lip and palate. He is so sweet and smart and loves the Lord! He received his new smile in March of 2017. We have since had several more surgeries and finally got his palate closed completely. He has his first set of braces to straighten and move his teeth so that we can get to our next step which will be the bone graft surgery. Thank you, Mia Moo Fund, for your help and kindness. ~ John’s Mom
DECEMBER RECIPIENT
Hunter was born in August 2017, with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. His cleft lip was surgically repaired at just seven weeks old, followed by palate repair at ten months of age. To date, Hunter has undergone eight surgeries. Hunter, now 8 years old, has a deep passion for baseball. He avidly follows the sport at every level and is a devoted Baltimore Orioles fan, with Gunnar Henderson as his favorite player. His love for the game extends beyond watching—he enjoys attending games in person and actively playing, having participated in his local recreation league and advancing to a travel baseball team this fall. Hunter is truly one of the strongest little boys we have ever known. ~ Hunter’s Parents
SPOTTED!

Two professional chefs are cooking up some dinner during the Christmas season! What is your favorite holiday dish?
             Hey y'all!!
Our theme verse for the month is Luke 2:11: “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
Jesus’ birth did not look the way people expected. It was quiet, messy, and full of things no one fully understood yet. Still, God had a plan, and that plan was perfect! I think about that often when it comes to us kids born with cleft lip and palate! We are not accidents or mistakes. We are deeply loved, carefully created, and full of purpose, even when our story starts differently than imagined. This Christmas, I hope you and your families are reminded that unexpected beginnings can still hold so much beauty, hope, and blessings! Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!!
