Mia Moo got a donation from a lemonade stand fundraiser that Maddie Sue, 9 years old, and family had. Maddie was also born with a bilateral cleft lip and gumline. Maddie’s mom says it warms their heart to be able to give back through Mia Moo to other cleft families in need. Maddie gets to spend $20 of her earnings, then divide the remainder in to two parts: Half goes in to a bank account that is use solely for her medical/dental needs, and the other half is to make a meaningful donation with a charity or family in need. Maddie's mom, sells decorated sugar cookies out of our home for a living so she also sold cookies at the stand and included the sales as part of the donation. Family members, neighbors, friends, and cookie customers showed up in a big way! Even family and friends that couldn't physically be there from across the country sent donations. Mia Moo received almost $2,000. What a blessing to have such wonderful donations. Thank you Maddie and family, you have blessed a family more than you will ever know.
