WHAT'S NEW WITH MIA
This summer Mia spent lots of time with family, having some fun with friends and celebrating our great country! She also started working at a local boutique in her hometown and playing piano for worship nights as much as possible. With the summer coming to a close, Mia has started her Senior year of high school (can you believe it?!) and even getting a jump start on some online college courses. Even with all of this, she is in the middle of planning the special MIA MOO FUNDay for our cleft cuties and their families. It’s going to be an amazing experience for all our Mia Moo kids!

"Our family waited to meet our little blessing for two years. She is our rainbow baby! We got our cleft diagnosis at our 20 week ultrasound. We weren’t sure what that would mean for our family. We quickly found that that means we get a wide smile to love! We learned that falling in love was so easy! Leila’s cleft smile is so beautiful, but we are so excited that we will have two smiles to love! We will having surgery in September! Leila loves cuddles and playing with her sister! She loves getting tickles and bas the cutest smile! Our family is so grateful and blessed for the Mia Moo Fund." ~ Leila's Mom

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Kamryn was born on July 14, 2005. His birthdate was one to remember. In total shock, Kamryn had issues with feeding among many other medical issues. He was diagnosed with the rare condition, Saethre Chotzen Syndrome and we discovered he had Cleft Palate. The roof of his mouth was completely open. Feeding was difficult, and everything came through his nose. Kamryn had several surgeries to repair his palate. He is now 16 years old and thriving. He loves 18-wheelers & sports. His favorite sports athletes are Bubba Wallace & Kyle Busch (Nascar), Brittney Griner (WNBA), Oklahoma Sooners (College Football), and Derrick Henry (NFL). Kamryn has participated in many Special Olympic Sports such as bowling, basketball, flag football, track & swim. This year, he began 11th grade and is enjoying it.

"We are so thankful for the Mia Moo Fund. After many dental visits, we found there was a need for Kamryn to receive Orthodontic Care. Because it was a pricey procedure, we thought about delaying it. However, we found out from our Orthodontics Team about the God sent, Mia Moo Fund. With hundreds of thousands in medical bills already due to his craniofacial anomalies, this was one less burden on us. The Mia Moo Fund, Jase, Missy, Mia, and all of those that are part of helping this prodigious fund, have helped so many people. Our family will be forever grateful for the love and support that the Mia Moo Fund has provided." (Kamryn's mom)

Sponsor a backpack for a cleft child......This bag will be delivered to a child who is in the hospital for a cleft surgery. Our sponsors have so generously given items that are perfect for a child having cleft surgery. The sling bag was donated from Under Armour, the cup from Yeti, cup for younger kids from Nuby, blanket from Jockey Being Family, the chapstick from 4imprint and the stuffed cow, socks donated by Standing On The Word, playing cards and Blessed, Blessed...Blessed book donated by Jase and Missy Robertson.
