GETTING READY FOR SUMMER
March Reflection
Hey y'all! It's Mia! This month I wrapped up my study abroad adventures in Costa Rica! We zip-lined, Tarzan swung, cliff jumped and had so much fun! Finals had to come in and mess up the fun, but I am finally done and ready for summer! This trip has been so amazing and one of the biggest blessings of my life! I am so thankful for the Lord and his blessings! I hope you all had an AWESOME APRIL!  Love you all!
xoxo,
MIA

Nirvana will be 2 this summer and we are taking our cleft adventure one day at a time! Nirvana loves to play outside and likes dancing. Nirvana is such a blessing of a child. Going through this journey with her has completely changed my perspective on families who have to go through such crucial surgeries at such a young age. This fund has helped us in the past and we couldn't have been more grateful for this opportunity to have help covering medical expenses. ~ Nirvana’s mom
SPOTTED!
Mia teaching her friends how to make beignets during their cajun cooking class! They were YUMMY!

POSITIVITY CORNER!
Hi, All!
This is Peggy West and for those who don't know, I am Mia's grandmother. I'm super proud of her and the work she does with the Mia Moo Fund! One of my favorite things is to attend the Mia Moo FunDay and to meet everyone coming in. Some of the kids are pretty shy at first, but hang on and watch them come alive during the first fun-time dancing and singing with Mia leading the way. It doesn't take long for even the shyest of the shy to come out of their shell and really begin to have FUN. They soon become excited as they meet their new friends and play throughout the day. It is my joy to watch this happen each year!

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Khloe Xia was adopted from Zhengzhou, Henan, China on May 11, 2015 when she was 23 months old.  Being shy at first, she soon blossomed into the funny, full of life girl that she still is today! She loves telling jokes and her laugh is infectious.  Being an artist is what she is most proud of, and she sure is talented.  One of her favorite things to do is to go to church and Awana’s.  She is definitely the bravest 10 year old out there.  Going to doctors appointments and the numerous surgeries she has had with strength and confidence.  She has dealt with hearing loss due to numerous ear infections prior to being adopted and wears hearing aids.  But none of that gets her down.  Khloe truly is the light of our lives ❤️
Finding the Mia Moo Fund has been so fun for us to see other kids just like Khloe and read their stories.  Knowing that we have their support and encouragement brings us joy.  Thank you Mia Moo Fund for all you do!  We are thankful for this community!  ~ Khloe's Mom
